Welcome to Year 2!

My name is Mrs Gordon and I am thrilled to be part of the Park Road Academy Primary School’s team as the Year 2 Class Teacher! I am no stranger to the school and have dreamt of working here for many years. I have strong family links with Park Road Academy and, growing up locally, was lucky enough to complete my final PGCE Teaching Placement (in Year 2) at the school. This is where my love of teaching and learning truly began!

Since qualifying, I have had the privilege of teaching across the primary age range and have experience leading many subject areas, as well as being a member of the Senior Leadership Team. I have a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Sports Science. I have a passion for reading and actively promote reading for pleasure within my teaching practice. I am also enthusiastic about wellbeing and promoting a healthy mind and body. I am a qualified children’s Yoga and Mindfulness teacher. I am the Art and Design and Design Technology Lead. I have a personal and genuine love for creative learning and fostering an environment where pupils are free to express and empower themselves though art and design and design technology. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the gym, yoga and anything food related! I also have a love of travelling. I like visiting new places and learning about different cultures. I find the most joy spending quality time with my husband and 5-year-old daughter.
