PRAPS Bank

Running the PRAPS Bank provides Year 6 children with a unique opportunity to develop essential financial and life skills. By helping their peers set up savings accounts and plan for future holidays, they gain financial literacy, learning about budgeting, saving, and responsible money management. Through their interactions with younger children, they develop communication, leadership, and customer service skills, ensuring they explain financial concepts in a clear and supportive way. Managing the bank also strengthens their organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork, as they work together to track savings, record transactions, and run the bank efficiently. This experience fosters independence, confidence, and a sense of responsibility that will benefit them in later life.
