Today marked a spectacular showcase of talent and energy as the KS2 dance team 'Born to be Stars' from Park Road Academy took center stage at the 'Trafford's Got Talent' Dance and Cheer Festival. The BeActive Urmston Leisure Centre was abuzz with excitement as the young performers brought their A-game, captivating a capacity crowd with their dazzling routine.

 🌟 Captivating Performance: The 'Born to be Stars' dance team lived up to their name, delivering a captivating performance. From the first beat to the final pose, their routine was a dynamic blend of precision, creativity, and infectious enthusiasm.

 👯‍♂️ Teamwork in Action: The strength of the performance lay not only in the individual skills of the dancers but also in their seamless teamwork. Every move was executed with precision, reflecting hours of practice and collaboration.

 🏆 Championing Art and Expression: The dance team from Park Road Academy not only showcased their artistic abilities but also embodied the essence of creativity, self-expression, and the joy that comes from pursuing one's passion.

Striking Efforts at the County Finals: Park Road Academy's Bowling Adventure - 29.11.23

 Today was a day filled with camaraderie, skill, and spirited competition as the Park Road Academy's KS2 bowling team took center stage at the County Finals. It was an exhilarating experience for our talented bowlers who, despite not clinching a top-three finish, showcased incredible sportsmanship and skill throughout the day.

 🎳 A Day of Determination: Our bowlers arrived with determination and excitement, ready to face off against the best in the Greater Manchester. The competition was fierce, with each team bringing their A-game to the lanes. Our students demonstrated resilience and admirable teamwork, contributing to a day filled with unforgettable moments.

 🏆 Not in the Top Three, but Winners Nonetheless: Although Park Road Academy didn't secure a spot in the top three, the spirit and enthusiasm displayed by our team spoke volumes. Their positive attitude, support for one another, and respect for fellow competitors reflected the true essence of sportsmanship.

 🌟 An Incredible Journey: The journey to the County Finals was itself a remarkable achievement for our bowling team. Competing at this level required dedication, skill, and a passion for the sport. Our students embraced the challenge, representing Park Road Academy with pride and leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.

Empowering Leaders at Old Trafford Cricket Ground: A Day of Inspiration - 29.11.23

 Today marked an empowering journey for our students as they embarked on the Trafford School Sports Leadership Trip at the iconic Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The day unfolded with a rich tapestry of learning, inspiration, and the unique opportunity to meet a true sporting champion.

 Morning Workshop: Crafting the Leaders of Tomorrow The morning began with a dynamic workshop, igniting the spark of leadership within our students. Guided by expert instructors, the children delved into the intricacies of developing leadership skills. The workshop explored the qualities that define a great sports leader and unveiled the key principles that can shape them into role models on and off the field. Through interactive sessions and engaging discussions, our students gained valuable insights into the art of leadership.

 Special Guest: Stacey Copeland As if the day couldn't get any better, our students were privileged to meet and learn from the inspiring Stacey Copeland. A former boxing national and Commonwealth champion, Stacey shared her remarkable journey, illustrating the transformative power of resilience, discipline, and leadership. Her words resonated deeply with our aspiring leaders, offering a real-world perspective on what it takes to overcome challenges and emerge victorious.

 Qualification into Sports Leadership: A Stepping Stone to Greatness The Trafford School Sports Leadership Trip wasn't just a day of inspiration; it was the beginning of a transformative journey. The students embarked on a course that will not only refine their sports skills but also nurture them into empathetic, responsible leaders. The acquired qualification will serve as a stepping stone toward creating positive change within their school and community.

 As the day concluded, our children left Old Trafford Cricket Ground with a renewed sense of purpose and a toolkit of leadership skills. The Trafford School Sports Leadership Trip not only expanded their horizons but also set the stage for them to become influential leaders.

Strike Success: Park Road Academy Secures 3rd Place in Atlantic Bowl Competition! - 10.11.23 🎳

 Today, our talented KS2 bowlers stepped onto the lanes at Atlantic Bowl in Altrincham for a thrilling competition that proved to be a striking success! Facing stiff competition from schools across the region, the team displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination.

 🌟 Top-Notch Performance: Our bowlers delivered an outstanding performance, knocking down pins with precision and flair. Their strategic approach to the game and consistent aim contributed to an impressive overall score.

 🏆 Podium Finish: In an exhilarating turn of events, Park Road Academy clinched an incredible 3rd place out of the entire competition! This remarkable achievement not only reflects the individual and collective efforts of our bowlers but also positions us for an exciting journey ahead.

 🎉 County Finals Bound: The excitement doesn't end here! Securing the 3rd spot means our team has earned a coveted spot in the upcoming county finals in just a couple of weeks. Get ready for more strikes, spares, and celebrations as Park Road Academy takes on the best in the county!

Park Road Academy Girls show their talent in the Altrincham Small Schools League! 10.10.23

It was another exciting day for Park Road Girls team, who showcased their talents in the Altrincham Small Schools League. Their confidence, determination and passion were on show for everyone to see. They fought hard for two wins and two draws, proving to themselves just how talented they are!

 Park Road Academy's girls' team kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought battle against Altrincham C of E. The defensive unit held strong, with no opponent managing to breach their solid line. The turning point of the match came in the form of a moment of brilliance from Park Road's striker. She unleashed a wonder strike that sailed into the back of the net, leaving the opposition's goalkeeper with no chance. The final score of 1-0 reflected their grit and determination to secure a well-deserved victory.

 In their second encounter, Park Road Academy faced off against Well Green. The match started with Well Green showing early promise, but Park Road's defensive unity once again came to the forefront. The match concluded with no goals on either side, a testament to Park Road's solid defence and Well Green's resolute goalkeeper. 

 Game three saw Park Road Academy's girls display their finest football. The team exhibited impressive passing sequences that left spectators in awe. The girls capitalised on their exceptional teamwork to score two fantastic team goals, securing a well-deserved victory. The game finished Park Road 2 Cloverlea 0.

 In their final match, Park Road Academy's girls faced their toughest test against Willows. Having already played three tiring games, the team was faced with the challenge of defending against a strong opponent. The match saw Park Road's goalkeeper making a series of wonderful saves to keep the team in contention. The girls defended as a cohesive unit, displaying remarkable teamwork throughout the game. Ultimately, the match concluded with a hard-fought draw, resulting in a record of 2 wins and 2 draws for Park Road Academy's girls' team.

 

Park Road Academy Battles Willows in Thrilling Football Clash - 06.10.23

In a nail-biting showdown, Park Road Academy faced off against Willows in a single, highly anticipated match. The contest was an intense affair, with both teams displaying remarkable determination and skill throughout.

 Willows got off to an early start, taking the lead with a superb finish into the roof of the net. The early goal injected a dose of adrenaline into the match, setting the stage for an exhilarating battle between these two talented teams. Park Road Academy pressed hard for the remainder of the first half, determined to even the score before the halftime whistle. Their relentless efforts created several promising chances, but Willows' defence held firm.

 As the second half commenced, Park Road Academy continued their relentless pursuit of an equaliser. The game unfolded as a fierce midfield battle, with both teams vying for control. The intensity of the match reached its peak when Park Road Academy managed to level the score. A fantastic effort followed a super save from the Willows' goalkeeper, as the Park Road attacker expertly placed the ball into the far side of the net.

 The remainder of the match was a heart-pounding affair, with both teams refusing to give in. Every inch of the pitch was fiercely contested as they battled. The Park Road Academy goalkeeper made a crucial save toward the end of the match, preserving the hard-fought draw and highlighting the importance of every second in this thrilling contest.

 Congratulations to all the players on both sides for their outstanding performance and commitment in what was a superb game of football!

Park Road Academy Boys Show Grit and Determination in Altrincham Small Schools League - 03.10.23 

Park Road Academy's young football stars showcased their skill and resilience in the Altrincham Small Schools Boys League, playing three highly competitive games that demonstrated their commitment.

The first match of the day saw Park Road Academy pitted against Altrincham CofE, and the boys worked tirelessly on the pitch, creating multiple opportunities to seize victory. Despite their valiant efforts, the team faced a narrow 1-0 loss. It was a game filled with heart and determination, with the result not quite reflecting the team's performance.

In the second game against Hale Prep, the opposition proved to be formidable opponents, particularly in the first half. While Park Road Academy found their footing in the second half of the game, they were unable to overcome a 1-0 deficit. The team acknowledged that Hale Prep had outperformed them on the day, showcasing the boys' sportsmanship and ability to learn from their matches.

The final game of the day saw an exciting matchup between Park Road Academy and Willows. Despite the game ending in a 0-0 draw, it was a fantastic contest with both teams having opportunities to score. The goalkeepers from both sides made incredible saves, highlighting the high level of play and determination on display.

Overall, the Park Road Academy team demonstrated great promise and determination throughout the day. Their ability to create scoring opportunities and their solid defensive play were evident in each match. While the results may not have fully reflected their efforts, the children's sportsmanship and dedication shone brightly.

Park Road Academy Girls Shine in Altrincham Small Schools League - 26.09.23 

Tuesday, 26th September, marked an exciting day of football action as the talented girls from Park Road Academy took to the pitch in the Altrincham Small Schools League. With four matches on the day, the team displayed skill, determination, and teamwork, earning two wins and two draws, along with an impressive string of clean sheets from their excellent defence. 

The day kicked off with a tightly contested match against Bollin, where both teams demonstrated their defensive prowess, resulting in a hard-fought 0-0 draw. It was a game filled with close calls and great saves, showcasing the resilience and tenacity of the Park Road Academy team. 

In the second game against Forest Prep, the girls once again displayed their ability to rise to the occasion. It was a close and intense match, with Park Road Academy managing to secure a narrow 1-0 victory. Their performance was marked by determination and a bit of luck, as they held their opponents at bay while seizing a crucial goal. 

The third match of the day saw Park Road Academy face Oldfield Brow in another closely contested battle. While the game ended in a 0-0 draw, this time it felt like Park Road Academy had the upper hand and could have secured the win. Their strong play and disciplined defence made it a challenging day for their opponents. 

The final game proved to be a testament to the girls' growing prowess on the field. Facing Hale Prep, the team played exceptionally well, dominating the midfield and attack. Their efforts paid off as they secured a well-deserved 1-0 victory, with the midfielders and striker shining in their roles. The defence remained solid throughout all the games, impressively maintaining clean sheets in every match. 

The team from Park Road Academy left the pitch with their heads held high, showcasing their sportsmanship, determination, and growing football skills. Their teamwork, solid defence, and unwavering spirit were evident throughout the day, earning them two wins and two draws in a highly competitive league.

 

Park Road Academy Triumphs in Altrincham Small Schools League Clash - 19.09.23

In a thrilling day of football action, Park Road Academy's young stars took to the pitch in the Altrincham Small Schools League, displaying their skill, teamwork, and determination. The day brought a mix of results, but the team's resilience and promising performances earned them a spot in the League 1 section of the event for the next set of fixtures.

The first match of the day pitted Park Road Academy against a formidable Oldfield Brow team. The encounter proved to be a hard-fought battle, with both sides showcasing their talents. The breakthrough came for Park Road Academy with quick thinking on a free-kick, resulting in a well-executed opening goal. Moments later, their effective press earned them a second goal, securing a hard-fought 2-0 victory.

The following game posed a tough challenge, with Willows proving to be formidable opponents. Despite some fantastic goals scored by Willows, Park Road Academy's goalkeeper, making his debut for the school, put up an outstanding performance with a series of excellent saves. While the outcome was a defeat, the team left the pitch with their heads held high, acknowledging the deserving victory of their opponents.

In their final match of the day, Park Road Academy displayed their prowess once again. The game featured some standout moments from their goalkeeper, who continued to make impressive saves. The defining moment came when one of Park Road Academy's midfielders broke through the opposition's defence, calmly slotting the ball home in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.

The day's performances earned Park Road Academy a well-deserved place in the League 1 section of the event. The team's dedication, quick thinking, and strong teamwork were evident throughout the day, and their ability to adapt to different game situations is a testament to their growth as young footballers.
