Welcome from our Headteacher

A very warm welcome to Park Road Academy Primary School. I feel privileged to lead such a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. I have had the pleasure to be apart of the Senior Leadership Team for thirteen years; whereby nine of those have been in the role as Headteacher. Within this time, I have witnessed the school grow from strength to strength with our reputation well-known in the borough and beyond.

The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided to them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.

We believe that children should be curious about their learning.  Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations. We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.

Through our effective challenge curriculum, we aim to equip each child with the skills they need for lifelong learning. We see each child as an individual and we aim to develop confident learners, who take ownership and responsibility for their learning and are proud of their achievements. Our Curriculum pages will provide you with information about our delivery of the National Curriculum: the exciting topics covered in each year group; how we enrich the curriculum for our pupils; and how we embed British Values in all we do.

The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents, the local community and other schools. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard parents/carers as active partners in their child's education and value their interest and support.

I hope our website will give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities. It will grow over the course of each year as we add more information, but we can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for taking an interest in our school. I hope you find it useful and informative.

Please feel free to contact the school if would like to find out more.

Kind regards,
Miss K Hart
