Building Habitats

The children enjoyed building habitats and microhabitats as part of their learning in Science. They worked in groups to create homes for different animals, such as birds, insects, and small creatures, using materials like twigs, leaves, and rocks. The children also explored microhabitats, which are small areas where tiny plants and animals live, like under logs or in the soil. They learnt how each habitat provides food, shelter, and safety for the animals, and how important it is to protect these environments to help nature thrive.
