In Year 1, we have explored the concept of primary and secondary colours, learning how to mix and create a vibrant range of hues. We experimented with bold, bright colours in their artwork, drawing inspiration from the distinctive patterns and designs of Clarice Cliff. Through this, we developed an appreciation for her unique style, incorporating geometric shapes and playful motifs into their own pieces. The children enjoyed using their new colour knowledge to produce eye-catching artworks that echoed the spirit of Clarice Cliff’s iconic ceramic designs.
