The children walked around our school grounds, learning about deciduous and evergreen trees. They noticed that deciduous trees lose their leaves in autumn, while evergreen trees keep their green leaves all year. We drew simple pictures of the different leaves. We then categorised trees into deciduous and evergreen based on their features.
